A European web design agency you work with remotely
We are a web design and SEO studio in Timișoara, Romania, inside the European Union, and almost all of our work is done remotely. This page is for the situation where you are considering a supplier who is not in your own country: what that changes week to week, what it does not change, and the cases where it is the wrong choice.

Distance is a trade, not an advantage in itself, and the honest version of it is easier to judge than the polished one.
Where we are and how we work with you
Design Creator Lab is the studio. The company behind it is DUO GELATO S.R.L., registration number 38578584, founded in 2018. We are based in Timișoara, in western Romania, one hour ahead of Ireland and the UK.
We have no office in Ireland, none in the UK and none anywhere outside Romania, and we do not present ourselves as having one. The brief, the design, the build, the launch and the support afterwards all run from here.
What we build are custom sites, written rather than assembled from a bought theme. We are not a WordPress shop. WordPress comes up with us in two situations only: as a comparison while you are deciding what to build on, and as the thing we move a site off when a business has outgrown it.
Why businesses look outside their own country for a supplier
The reasons we actually hear are consistent, and none of them is only about price.
Cost is one of them, and we are not going to pretend otherwise. Overheads in Timișoara are lower than in Dublin or London, and that difference shows up in the quote rather than in the number of hours spent on the work.
Availability is another. In a small market the studio you want is often booked out for the next quarter, and waiting has a cost of its own.
The third is the specific skill. If you need something written rather than configured, the list of suppliers who genuinely write code narrows fast, and geography stops being the first filter.
And for anyone selling in more than one country, a supplier who already handles several language versions of a site beats one meeting hreflang for the first time on your project.
What hiring abroad does not solve: a brief nobody has written, a decision nobody will make, and content nobody has time to supply. Those problems travel badly.
What remote actually looks like, week by week
Week one is the brief, on a video call, in English, with a written summary afterwards so what we heard is on paper and you can correct it before anything is built.
After that you get an account on the project and can see the status without asking. Work goes to a test environment you can open on your own phone, which is where the useful comments usually come from.
Through the build there is a call every week or two, depending on the size of the project, and a written note after each. Between calls it is email, or whichever chat channel you already use.
Launch is scheduled with you rather than announced to you: date, time, what changes at the DNS level, and what the way back looks like if something is wrong.
What you do not get is somebody in your office. No site visits, no attending your Monday meeting, no walking around the premises with a camera. We say that before the quote rather than after it.
Invoicing and contracts inside the EU
We are a Romanian company and we invoice in euro, by bank transfer. To issue an invoice we need your full company details, the same as any EU supplier you already work with.
The contract sets out scope, price, timeline, who owns what, and what happens if either side stops. Ownership is the simple part: the code, the content, the domain and every access credential are yours, with no licence that has to keep being paid for the site to stay online.
The price on the quote is the price invoiced. The treatment of that invoice in your own country is confirmed in writing on the quote, because it depends on your situation rather than on ours.
You will not find a price grid on this page. Build and retainer prices sit on the page for each country, so the figures appear in the currency and the context they belong to. For Ireland, start with our euro pricing for websites in Ireland.
English is the working language, all the way through
English is the language of the brief, the calls, the written summaries, the admin area we hand over, and the support after launch. Not only of the sales conversation.
That distinction matters. Plenty of cross-border projects run in English right up to handover, then produce an interface, error messages and a manual in a language nobody on the client side reads.
Our own site is published in six languages, so multi-language builds are familiar ground here rather than a first attempt on your budget.
Clients we have worked with outside Romania
Two projects in the public portfolio were built for clients outside Romania.
CJM Bathrooms is a bathroom renovation business in Ireland. The work was a custom site replacing a WordPress one, the DNS cutover through Cloudflare, carrying the existing customer reviews across so that none were lost in the move, and analytics that only run once consent has been given. The whole project ran remotely, brief to launch, in a country where we have no office.
TalkBridge is an international brand with a dual web presence, a .co.uk site and a .com site, together with the email infrastructure behind its B2B communication.
We are not going to pad this section. Those are the two, and the rest of the portfolio is Romanian work. If you want a reference from the Irish project, ask us and we will ask the client.
What we would not take on remotely
Being clear about this is the only thing that makes the rest of the page worth reading.
We turn down work that needs somebody physically present. A photo shoot at your premises, an in-person workshop series, training in your office, or a project where the client wants a weekly meeting at their own table. Those are reasonable requirements. They are just not ours to meet.
We also turn down projects where nobody on your side can make a decision. Remote work runs on written decisions from one named person. If every question goes through a group that meets once a month, a build that should take six weeks takes six months, and both sides end up unhappy.
And we say no when the deadline only works if nothing goes wrong. That is not a plan, remote or otherwise.

Questions about hiring an agency abroad
Where are you actually based?
Timișoara, Romania, inside the EU. One studio, no branches.
Who owns the site at the end?
You do. Code, content, domain and all access.
What if I want to leave?
You take the site with you. There is no proprietary platform holding it and nothing that has to keep being paid for it to stay online.
How do we handle the time difference?
One hour between us and Ireland or the UK, none with most of continental Europe. In practice our afternoon ends an hour before yours.
Do you visit clients?
No. Everything runs remotely, and that is a condition we set before the quote rather than a limitation you discover afterwards.
Can you work on a site somebody else built?
Sometimes. It depends on what it was built with and whether we can get proper access. We look first, then tell you whether continuing or starting again is the better use of the budget.
What about prices?
They live on the country pages, so you see figures in the right currency with the right context.
How do we start?
Send a short description of what the site has to do, who it is for, and whether one already exists, to [email protected], or call +40 770 129 502. You get a written scope and a price back, or a question if something important is missing.
