Off-Page SEO Services: Link Building and Authority
In off-page SEO, a site's authority comes from what other people say about you: links, mentions, directory and press citations. We build that through content worth citing and through direct contact with relevant publications, not through bought links or private blog networks. It is the slowest part of SEO and the easiest to damage, so we move slowly and in the open.
What we do
How we work
Backlink profile audit
We start from what you already have. We pull every link to the site from Search Console and from analysis tools, then sort them by relevance, source authority and context. What matters is whether the link sits inside text people read or in the footer of an abandoned site. The audit also says whether the profile looks natural or carries the marks of a past bought-link campaign, which changes the plan entirely.
The links competitors have and you do not
We take the sites ranking above you on the queries that matter and look at where their authority comes from. Often these are sources you can reach too: industry associations, partners, suppliers, local publications, resource lists. The link gap shows more clearly than any report why they are on the first page and you are not, and part of it can be closed with a phone call and an email.
Content that earns links on its own
Nobody links to a company overview page. People link to data nobody else has, complete guides, calculators, honest comparisons and studies of the local market. We pick a subject you genuinely have standing to speak on, turn it into a resource worth citing, and only then start reaching out. The reverse order, outreach with nothing to offer, is why most campaigns fail.
Direct contact with publications and journalists
Digital PR means giving a journalist something they can use: a number from your market, an expert opinion on a current topic, a concrete case. We write short, personalised pitches to people who actually cover your field, not lists of hundreds of addresses blasted at once. The response rate is low by nature, and the links earned this way are the hardest for competitors to copy.
Local citations and Romanian directories
For businesses selling in a city or region, citations matter: name, address and phone written identically everywhere. We work with the Romanian directories that are actually used and with those specific to your industry, not with lists of hundreds of filler sites. Small mismatches, an old phone number or an address written two ways, are among the cheapest errors to fix.
Brand mentions without a link
Often someone already writes about you without linking. We find those, check the context and politely ask for the link to be added. It is the simplest form of link building, because the relationship already exists and you are asking for a correction, not a favour. Not all of them convert, and the ones that stay plain mentions we leave alone, because they still count for how the brand is perceived.
Articles on other sites, done properly
An article on another site makes sense if the publication has real readers and if the subject genuinely represents you. We write the piece as if it were our own, with a link where it helps the reader, not crammed three times into the first paragraph. Sites that publish anything for a fee, dozens of posts a day across unrelated fields, are of no interest, because Google identifies and discounts them.
Anchor text and what a natural profile looks like
A healthy link profile has most anchors on the brand name, the bare URL or ordinary phrasing, and only a small share on the exact keyword. When that ratio flips, it is visible from a distance that the links were built rather than earned. We track the distribution monthly and correct as we go, because that is far easier than repairing a skewed profile after a year.
Toxic links, disavow and when not to bother
Google states plainly that it ignores most poor quality links by itself, so the disavow file is not routine housekeeping. We use it in limited cases: links left over from a past paid campaign, spam link attacks, or a manual action received in Search Console. The rest of the time we monitor and leave it alone, because a wrong disavow cuts good links and is hard to undo.
What we do not do
We do not buy links, we do not use private blog networks and we do not enter mass link exchanges. We do not promise a fixed number of links per month, because a fixed number can only be hit by buying. All of it works in the short term and leaves behind a profile the next consultant will spend years cleaning. If you want fast link volume, we are not the right supplier.
How long it takes and what is realistic
Clean link building is slow. The first results of a campaign usually show after a few months, because something worth citing has to be created first, then people contacted, then Google has to re-evaluate. In competitive markets, a year of steady work is a normal horizon. We would rather say that up front than deliver pretty numbers in month one and explanations in month six.
Measurement: what we track monthly
We track the number of linking domains, not the number of links, because ten links from one site are worth about one. We look at the relevance of new sources, anchor distribution, and the positions of the pages we supported. The report also says what did not work: rejected pitches, publications that never replied, angles that did not land. That is the useful information for the following month.

What you get
Frequently asked questions
What clients ask us
What does off-page SEO mean?
Off-page SEO covers everything that happens outside your site and affects your positions: links from other sites, brand mentions, directory citations and press coverage. The underlying idea is that Google uses what others say about you as a trust signal. Unlike on-page SEO, here you do not control the outcome directly, only the work that leads to it.
Should you buy links?
We do not buy them and do not recommend it. Paid links explicitly breach Google's guidelines, and the risk is not only a manual action but the silent discounting of every link from that source, which means money spent for nothing. There is a hidden cost too: a profile built on bought links has to be maintained forever, because the moment you stop, positions fall.
How many links do I need?
There is no number, and anyone who gives you one before looking at your market is selling a package, not a strategy. What matters is how many distinct, relevant domains link to you compared with the sites ranking above you on the queries that bring customers. Sometimes the gap is five well chosen sources; sometimes it is a content and authority problem that links will not solve at all.
What is a toxic backlink?
A link from a source built only to hand out links: directories with no visitors, blog networks, hacked sites, pages with hundreds of unrelated links. In practice most such links are simply ignored by Google rather than penalised. They become a real problem when there are many, appearing suddenly, and especially when they were paid for, because then the pattern is obvious.
How long until the effect shows?
Longer than with on-page work. A new link first has to be discovered by Google, then evaluated, and the effect on position appears gradually rather than overnight. Realistically, a steady campaign starts showing in the positions of supported pages after a few months. If big jumps appear in month one, they usually are not coming from the links.
Are Romanian business directories worth it?
A few yes, the rest no. The ones worth doing are those real people use to find suppliers and those specific to your industry, because traffic can come from them too, not just a link. The lists of hundreds of directories sold as a package, copying each other and carrying no visitors, are not worth it. Simple rule: if you would not use that site to find a company, neither will your customer.
