Technical SEO audit: what stops Google from reading your site
A technical SEO audit answers one question: what stops Google from reading, understanding and showing your pages. We run the same 27 real checks our free audit tool runs, then read the results next to your own Search Console data and say what is worth fixing first.

Why DCL Studio
Why our audit can be verified
- 01
The same 27 checks you can run yourself
The audit starts from the checks our own free tool runs on your page: indexing and crawl, content and meta, technical setup, social and structured data. You can run it yourself before you talk to us, on the same address, and compare what we report with what you see. Nothing in the report is a number we made up.
- 02
Measured on your page, not estimated
Our server fetches the page exactly as it is served to visitors, reads the HTML, robots.txt and the sitemap, then runs each check. Where a check cannot run, the report says so instead of guessing. That is the difference between a measurement and a score.
- 03
Fixing is part of the job, not someone else's problem
A technical report that nobody can apply is paper. Because we also write code, we can do the part that needs access to the code or the server, then run the same checks again on the same address so the change is visible, not assumed.
- 04
We say what the technical side cannot fix
Technical work removes blockers. It does not decide positions, and we say that before you pay for anything. Keyword research, site architecture, external links and competition are a different job, and we name them separately instead of selling them as part of the audit.
Who it is for
Who the technical audit is for
This page is for companies that already have a site with impressions in Google but no enquiries: positions stuck deep in the results, pages that never appear, or a rebuilt site after which searches dropped. On a brand new site a technical audit still makes sense, because it removes the blockers before you invest in content.

- 03

- 05
The issues listed in the order they should be fixed, with what each one means
- 06
The results read next to your own Search Console figures, where you give us access
- 07
The fixes themselves, where they need code or server access
- 08
The same checks run again after each fix, on the same address
The DCL process
How the audit runs
01
The 27 checks, on the pages that matter
We run the checks on the site address and on the pages that carry the sales, not only on the home page. Every result is measured on the page at that moment, and the checks that cannot run are marked as such.

02
The results next to your data
We read the findings against your own Search Console figures: impressions, queries and real positions. A technical issue on a page nobody searches for is not the first thing to fix, and the data is what tells us that.

03
The order of fixes
First what blocks indexing, because a page Google does not read cannot appear at all. Then the titles and descriptions of the pages that bring enquiries. Speed details come last, and we say why.

04
Fix and re-check
We fix the part that needs code or server access, then run the same checks again on the same address. The before and after are comparable because they come from the same tool.

Frequently asked questions
Questions about the technical SEO audit
What is a technical SEO audit, briefly?
It checks how a search engine reads your site: indexing, canonical addresses, sitemap, titles, response time, structured data. It is not about what the pages say, it is about whether the page can be read and shown at all.
How is it different from an automated technical SEO scan?
The tool runs the 27 checks and gives you the result on the spot, for one address. The audit takes the same results, puts them next to your Search Console data and decides what to fix first. The scan shows where to look, the audit says what to do.
How long does a technical SEO audit take?
The automated scan takes about 30 seconds for one address. For the audit done by a person we do not publish a deadline here, because it depends on how many pages and templates the site has: the deadline is written in the quote, together with the price.
Do you audit sites you did not build?
Yes, that is the most common case. For the fixes we need access to the code or someone who can make the changes; without that you only get the list of issues, and we say so up front.
Will you tell me my position in Google?
Not from the audit. Positions are in Search Console, on your own data. The technical audit checks the state of the pages, not the ranking.
If I fix everything in the audit, will I rise in Google?
Not automatically. Technical fixes remove the blockers; the position then depends on content, competition and domain authority, and nobody can promise it.
Can the checks be run again after the fixes?
Yes, as often as you want, on the same address. It is recommended: that is how you see what changed after each intervention.
